Students From all over Bosnia and Herzegovina participate in the Student Pavilion's construction
Students who come from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina and from various different faculties, such as Construction, Architecture, Forestry, Agricultural, Electrical, IT, and many others, will have the opportunity to work in groups, learn techniques for recycling and restoration of windows, wood recycling, timber preparation, assembly and installation of the same, building with straw, preparation and coating clay mortar, preparation classes for the green roof...MORE ABOUT US
In addition to a practical work on site, each day students will also have lectures by both professors from the partner universities such as Zagreb, Vienna, Banja Luka, and Mostar, and by experts in building with straw from Slovenia and Serbia..
At the end of summer school students will have the opportunity to answer the quiz questions based on which their gained knowledge will be graded and they will be issued the appropriate certificates. For every day a rich evening program is being organized for students in the form of lectures by Prof. Dr. Nenad Veličković, where he will talk with students about ideas that society does (not) accept, by Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović, who will talk about genetics and Zenit Đozić, who will talk with students about the barriers, space and humor.
The building will serve as the new student gathering space of IBU, to provide a welcoming, dynamic learning environment for showcasing the student’s work. The pavilion will be inclusive, contemporary and complementing to the existing structures.
The main objective of this project is to gather students from architecture, forestry and agriculture faculties as well as other faculties with the scope of exploring, getting familiar and building with alternative materials such as straw, recycled wood, recycled elements of the building such as windows and doors as well as alternative foundation elements m a d e from recycled materials.
